Parts of a fraction (Partes de uma Fração)

numerator (numerador)
denominator ( denominador)

1. Frações simples:

1/2 = a half ou one half (para dar ênfase)
1/3 = a third ou one third
1/4 = a quarter, one quarter ou a fourth ou one fourth (Inglês Americano)
1/8 = one eighth
1/12 = one twelfth
1/17 = one seventeenth
2/3 = two thirds
3/4 = three quarters ou three fourths (Inglês Americano)
5/8 = five eighths
7/10 = seven tenths

2. Complex fractions (Frações complexas):

Usamos a preposição over(sobre), para lermos frações com denominadores mais complexos.

12/35 = twelve over thirty-five
32/115 = thirty-two over one hundred and fifteen
26/78 = twenty-six over seventy-eight
43/235 = forty-three over two hundred and thirty-five

3. Whole numbers and fractions (Números inteiros e frações):

Utilizamos and para conectá-los:

3½ = three and a half
2½ = two and a half
5¾ = five and three quarter
7¼ = seven and a quarter
12¾ = twelve and three quarters
