1. O hífen (-) é colocado, em Inglês, na casa das dezenas.
Ex:
23 = twenty-three
165 = one hundred and sixty-five
1,592 = one thousand, five hundred and ninety-two
45,276 = forty-five thousand, two hundred and seventy-six

2. A vírgula (,) é usada, em Inglês, para indicar os milhares.
Ex.:
Inglês = Português
1,200 = 1.200
2,300,345 = 2.300.345

3. Em inglês britânico, pode-se utilizar o espaço branco para indicar os milhares.
Ex.:
Inglês = Português
1 200 = 1 200
2 300 345 = 2 300 345

4. O ponto (.) em Inglês,é usado para indicar os decimais.
Ex.:
Inglês = Português
0.25 = 0,25
3.1416 = 3,1416
5.252674 = 5,252674

5. Em inglês britânico, and vem antes das unidades e dezenas.
Ex.:
104 = one hundred and four
665 = six hundred and sixty-five
1,509 = one thousand, five hundred and nine
