
Lavash Bread
Ingredients
3.5 cups plain flour
1 tsp ground sea salt
2 tbs poppy seeds
2 tbs sesame seeds
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
60g unsalted butter, melted
Method
1. Sift flour and salt into a bowl, add seeds and stir to combine.
2. Combine milk, egg and butter.
3. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the wet mix. Slowly draw the flour into the centre to form a dough.
4. Knead until smooth. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour. (It can stay in the fridge for up to 3 days like this.)
5. Heat oven to 180′C. Divide dough into four. Roll out each section very thinly (don’t worry about any holes). Cut into rectangles and place on a greased tray. Bake for 8 minutes or until golden. Cool on cake rack and store in airtight container.
